Hello April...

Time has flown!

This year started with a huge BANG!!  This February I participated in the San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo as a vendor.  The experience was incredible!  The show lasted the entire month of February...which is the longest I've ever participated in any event.  My Cowgirl Junk collection was a huge hit at the Rodeo.  Who doesn't love Turquoise and sassy vintage cowgirls??  My booth stood out  like a colorful soar thumb...filled with sugar skulls, mosaics, mermaids, and Frida Kahlo items.  There were a handful of people that of course, didn't 'get me' or 'understand my art' (I actually over heard a cowboy tell his girlfriend that he did not understand what the obsession was with skulls)...his loss!  Other people welcomed me and told me my jewelry and artwork were a refreshing change compared to the 'cookie-cutter' booths.  In all I had a fabulous time and meet some really nice people.  I'm so looking forward to next years Rodeo!

Here's a pic of my booth set-up.  It was a tight fit, but we managed to show everything and give people plant of walking room.

Soon after the Rodeo, I started getting ready for Fiesta which is this month!!  Busy...and super excited!!  My first show of the month is this weekend's Starving Artist at La Villita.  (see flyer below)

My booth is located in Maverick Plaza.  I've been working on some new things and have been adding to my growing PaperDoll Courtyard collection as well as my Santitos Collection.  Hopefully the weather will be beautiful!  If you're out and about this weekend definitely come to Starving Artist.

Stay tuned for more coming events and new items...

Until next time!
